  6. INTRODUCTION:
  7.      This program is pretty self explanatory. It allows your users to enter
  8.      a "riddle adventure", where each room contains a riddle. If they
  9.      answer the riddle correctly, they can proceed to the next room. Once
  10.      they have exhausted all of the current rooms, they're allowed to
  11.      enter their very own riddle for inclusion in the end of the rooms.

  13.      I currently have a (very stupid) collection of riddles from one of
  14.      those stupid "PIG RIDDLE" books. If you don't like it, just trash
  15.      the "Riddle File" and Riddle will automatically start a new (empty)
  16.      riddle collection.

  18.      If you'd like to input your own set of riddles, you can either do it
  19.      the hard way (through the bulletin board), or through a text editor.
  20.      Each riddle record is nine lines, in the order below:
  21.           Room Name
  22.           Room Description Line 1
  23.           Room Description Line 2
  24.           Room Description Line 3
  25.           Room Riddle Line 1
  26.           Room Riddle Line 2
  27.           Room Answer (ALL CAPS!)
  28.           Room Explanation
  29.           Room Creator

  31.      Feel free to create your own--if you make one you'd like to have
  32.      distributed with the door, send it to me!

  34. WHINE, COMPLAIN, GROAN SECTION:
  35.  
  36.      One note:  There are *NO* Macintosh based bulletin board systems in
  37.      Utah, nor am I running a RRH, Second Sight, WWIV, or Mansion system
  38.      myself (since with college I'm never in one place for longer than
  39.      two months!).  That means: I haven't been able to exhaustively test
  40.      this (or any other) of my programs.  Which means, if you run into
  41.      problems, LET ME KNOW! and I'll try to fix them ASAP.

  45. INSTALLATION:
  46.      The steps to installation are simple.  Follow the steps outlined below:
  47.        •  Using the New Folder menu choice in the Finder, or an equivalent,
  48.           create a folder for the Riddle support files.
  49.        •  Copy the Riddle application to the same folder as your
  50.           bulletin board.
  51.        •  In your host bbs application, set up a menu choice where you want
  52.           to run an external application, in this case Riddle.  In Red
  53.           Ryder Host this is done with MenuEdit (for more in-detail help,
  54.           please refer to your Host manual).  In Mansion, this is done
  55.           through the built-in menu editor.  In the WWIV system, pressing
  56.           the proper key while waiting for a call will bring you to the
  57.           external application setup.
  58.        •  Run your bulletin board, and launch Riddle.  This will allow
  59.           you to enter the correct pathnames via a dialog box, as well as
  60.           giving you the option of a log file or no log file (marking when
  61.           people have entered or exited Delphi).  Setup and running the
  62.           application work ONLY if you launch from your bulletin board
  63.           application, otherwise Delphi does not find the "Launch BBS"
  64.           or corresponding file (depending on which bbs program you are
  65.           using) that it requires to work correctly.  If you need to re-
  66.           configure Riddle Adv. after moving your bbs application or
  67.           the folders, you simply need to drag the "Riddle Options" file
  68.           in your system folder to the trash.
  69.        •  Quit from Riddle, and your bulletin board will now be able to
  70.           run the external door.

  72. OTHER INFO:
  73.      If you are running under multifinder, select the "No Local Echo" in the
  74.      sysop menus, and the window will not appear.

  80.      As a reminder, THIS IS SHAREWARE.  So, if you use this program, please
  81.      remember: it costs money to buy compilers! :-) If just 10 of your users
  82.      get a kick out of using Riddle, they can all pitch in $1 and you'll
  83.      be registered!

  85.      The author reserves all rights to the program.  This program may be 
  86.      distributed via all national electronic networks.  Local
  87.      bulletin boards may distribute this program with the documentation, in
  88.      StuffIt or Compactor format, freely, providing that they do not gain any
  89.      renumeration besides the operating costs.  This program may not be distributed
  90.      with any commercial software without the author's written permission.  User
  91.      groups  are free to distribute the program in monthly disks and to include the
  92.      program on any CD-ROM (such as BMUG's PD-ROM) or public domain library,
  93.      as long as there is no charge beyond costs of media.  Public domain 
  94.      distribution companies, including EDUCOMP, PD•EXCHANGE, and so-called
  95.      "National User Groups" MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE or SELL this program in any way,
